The Wizard of Oz 87th Anniversary 2026 Advent Calendar

An Oz countdown for the film’s 87th year

The Wizard of Oz 87th Anniversary 2026 Advent Calendar marks 87 years since the 1939 film with 24 acrylic keepsakes behind die-cut windows. The countdown runs down the yellow brick road, so the box doubles as an Oz display piece through December.

Which characters appear on the calendar

• Dorothy and Toto leading the way along the yellow brick road.
• The Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion alongside them.
• The Emerald City anchoring the background.
• Bright blue, green, red, gold and yellow tones across the panel.
• Ornate gold lettering with red and green bows, snowflakes and illustrated character ornaments.

Materials and measurements

• Outer box: paper, with a plastic inner tray.
• Contents: 24 acrylic items, one behind each window.
• Box size: 13.5 × 18 × 3 cm, 135 g.
• Each acrylic item: 3.2 × 3.2 cm.
• Printing: double-sided acrylic print — one matte face, one glossy face.
• Display: perforated hanging tab and die-cut dotted windows.

Before you display the pieces

Each acrylic item ships with a protective film over the glossy face. Peel it away before you hang or stand the piece, or the print will look cloudy.

Who it suits

Wizard of Oz collectors, film fans and families who want a countdown with a story attached. The anniversary framing also makes it a dated keepsake — the 87th-year artwork fixes it to 2026 in a way a generic Christmas calendar never is.

Questions about this Oz calendar

Why the 87th anniversary?

The film premiered in 1939, which makes 2026 its 87th year. The artwork is dated to that milestone rather than to a round-number anniversary.

Do all the main characters get their own piece?

The 24 acrylic pieces work through the film’s cast and imagery, with Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and Emerald City motifs across the set.

How large is each keepsake?

Each acrylic piece measures 3.2 × 3.2 cm — small enough for a tree, a garland or a shelf display, and printed on both faces.

Can it be used in a December other than 2026?

Yes. The windows are numbered 1 to 24 rather than tied to weekdays, so the countdown works in any December. Only the 87th-anniversary artwork dates it to 2026.
