Stardew Valley Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

The box looks like a winter evening on your own farm: a log cabin with lights in the windows, a red barn with a wreath, a snowman by the gate, and chickens, a cow, a pig and a dog gathered with a few green Junimos in the snow.

A Game Made by One Person

Stardew Valley came out on 26 February 2016, and almost everything in it was made by one man. Eric Barone, who works as ConcernedApe, spent around four years designing, programming, drawing, writing and composing the game on his own. It became one of the best-loved games of its time, and 2026 marks its tenth anniversary.

Its appeal is simple: leave the city, inherit a run-down farm, and slowly build a life in a small town. Winter in the game is the quiet season, when crops stop and players spend their days visiting neighbours, mining and getting ready for the Feast of the Winter Star, the town’s gift-giving festival. A Christmas countdown fits that rhythm almost exactly.

What Waits Behind the Windows

The windows bring a mix of villagers, farm animals, crops and familiar farm buildings, in the game’s pixel-art style. Each one is a small ornament to hang or prop on a desk. The numbered photo shows the set together; it does not tell you what is behind each window.

A Gift for Cosy Gamers

This calendar suits the friend who has restarted the game more times than they will admit, the couple who share a co-op farm, or the parent who plays with their children in the evenings. Each morning’s opening is a small reminder of a favourite villager or a hard-won harvest. It also makes a gentle gift for someone who uses the game to unwind after work.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, with supervision for very young children because the pieces are small.
