Star Wars 50th Anniversary 2026 Advent Calendar

The box is dressed like a collector’s edition: matte black, thin gold lines, the Rebel Alliance insignia, a large “A New Hope 50” and the Millennium Falcon in silver across the bottom. Its spine reads “50 Years 1977–2027”, the span of the anniversary the calendar is counting toward.

Fifty Years Since 25 May 1977

Star Wars, later titled Episode IV – A New Hope, opened in US cinemas on 25 May 1977. Expectations were modest, yet it became the highest-grossing film of its time and changed how films are made, marketed and remembered. The 50th anniversary falls on 25 May 2027, which makes Christmas 2026 the last holiday season before the big birthday.

That is the idea behind this calendar. It is not only about the 1977 film: the designs range across the saga, from the prequels to the animated series, so different generations of fans each find their own favourites behind the windows.

Box art and the full range of designs arranged on tiered shelves.

Designs Across the Saga

• The original trilogy: C-3PO, Darth Vader, Princess Leia in white, a stormtrooper built like a snowman and the Millennium Falcon.
• The prequel era: Obi-Wan Kenobi with a blue lightsaber, young Anakin in a podracer helmet, Watto and a battle droid.
• The animated series and beyond: Ahsoka Tano, a clone trooper with blue markings, Darth Vader in a TIE fighter and several droids.
• Special finishes: chrome-style versions in blue and red.

Each character arrives as a flat acrylic ornament carrying the printed artwork, rather than as a vinyl figure. The shelf photo is there to show the range; the windows follow their own order.

The product-details sheet: the paper box front and back, and the clear plastic tray with 24 cells.

Box and Ornament Details

• Box: a paper countdown box with perforated windows and a clear plastic tray of 24 cells inside.
• Ornaments: 24 flat acrylic pieces, about 3.2 × 3.2 cm each, printed on both sides (one matte, one gloss).
• Hanging: each piece has a punched hole for a hook or ribbon.
• Before hanging: peel the protective film from both faces.

Questions From Star Wars Fans

Does it only feature characters from A New Hope?

No. The anniversary is the theme, but the designs come from across the saga, including the prequels and the animated series.

Why does the box mention 2027?

The 50th anniversary of the first film falls in May 2027, so the box art shows the full span, 1977–2027.

Are the figures three-dimensional?

No. They are flat acrylic ornaments printed with the artwork.
