SpongeBob SquarePants KFC Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

SpongeBob SquarePants KFC Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar is red from edge to edge: the pineapple house has a striped KFC awning, a Christmas tree is hung with tiny chicken buckets, and a KFC restaurant glows in the snow behind SpongeBob, who holds out a bucket with the Colonel’s face on it. Squidward, Patrick and Mr. Krabs crowd in with drinks and drumsticks, and each of the 24 doors on the back is printed with a festive character.

Why Fried Chicken Means Christmas in Japan

In December 1974, KFC Japan ran its first Christmas campaign, built around the line “Kentucky for Christmas.” The company says the idea came from a foreign customer in Tokyo who complained that he could not find turkey in Japan. The first offer paired a bucket of chicken with a bottle of wine for a grown-up Christmas party, and the habit took hold so firmly that families now reserve their buckets from late October.

That tradition gives the calendar a story beyond the mash-up. A bucket on the tree, the Colonel on the wreath and a delivery truck in the snow all point to the same idea: for millions of people, Christmas dinner comes in a red-and-white bucket. Bikini Bottom, home of the Krusty Krab, simply joins the queue.

What the Collection Celebrates

• Bikini Bottom regulars: SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Gary and Plankton with drumsticks, buckets and drinks.
• Dress-up moments: SpongeBob in glasses and a string tie like the Colonel, Patrick as a Christmas tree and Mr. Krabs hauling a sack of chicken.
• KFC and town pieces: a bucket, a cup, a chicken box, a burger, a stocking, a wreath with the Colonel, a restaurant, a pineapple snow globe, a Krusty Krab sign and a delivery truck.

The photo grid simply shows the full set; your doors may reveal the pieces in a different order.
