Pokémon x McDonald’s Happy Meal Collector’s Advent Calendar

Thirty Years of Pokémon, Served With Fries

Pokémon Red and Green launched in Japan on February 27, 1996, and the series has spent 2026 celebrating its 30th anniversary. For many fans, the memory that sits alongside the games is the fast-food toy: opening a Happy Meal box to find out which Pokémon was inside and trading the doubles at school. Pikachu became the face of the franchise when the anime launched in 1997, and the Kanto starters have stayed fan favourites ever since, so seeing them dressed for a fast-food lunch is exactly the kind of crossover those Happy Meal boxes were made for.

This calendar plays on exactly that feeling. The bright box shows the starters and friends gathered around a McDonald’s restaurant, and the 24 windows turn December into one small surprise a day.

A Menu of 24 Designs

The Pokémon line-up includes Pikachu in a red cap, Eevee, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Snorlax and Psyduck, many of them holding a burger, a drink or a Happy Meal box. Food pieces join in with a Poké Ball burger, fries in a Pikachu carton, a nugget box and a cookie shaped like Eevee.

Each one is printed on a flat acrylic ornament with a hanging tab, so the photos show artwork rather than three-dimensional toys. The numbered layout in those photos shows the set at a glance and does not tell you which design sits behind each door.

On the Tree or in the Office

The pieces brighten a children’s tree, a desk at work or a shelf of Pokémon cards. Opening a window can be a quick morning treat for kids and a nostalgic one for adults. Each piece has a clear film to pull off before display; a dry cloth handles fingerprints.

Questions From Collectors

Which Pokémon are included?

Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Snorlax and Psyduck appear, along with food-themed pieces.

Are the pieces toys?

They are small decorative ornaments. Younger children should open the windows with an adult.

Is there anything edible inside?

No. The burgers, fries and nuggets are printed designs on the ornaments, and nothing in the box is food.

When should I order for December 1?

Each calendar is printed to order, so allow about three weeks for delivery within the US.
