John Deere 190th Anniversary 1837–2027 Tote Bag

The John Deere 190th Anniversary 1837–2027 Tote Bag sets a green tractor and the leaping deer on a black body, with the anniversary dates running beneath the logo and yellow contrast stitching tracing the seams.

The layout is practical rather than decorative: a flap pocket, an open sleeve, a tall bottle pocket and a detachable shoulder strap alongside the twin handles.

Green and Yellow, Unchanged

Two colours and a jumping deer. That combination has been on machinery, signage and workwear for so long that it functions like a flag — recognised in fields on several continents by people who have never read a word of the company’s advertising.

Consistency at that scale is rare. Most brands redraw themselves every decade or two; this one refined the same two ideas for close to two centuries, which is exactly what a 190-year mark is celebrating. The dates on this panel are not decoration on top of a logo, they are the reason the logo still means something.

The Most Collected Brand in Agriculture

Farm brands attract collectors the way car marques do, and John Deere sits at the top of that list. There are people with shelves of die-cast models, enamel signs on shed walls, restored two-cylinder tractors in the barn, and a subscription to a magazine about all three.

What that community tends to prize is dated material — a year on an object turns it from merchandise into a marker. A tote carrying 1837–2027 slots into that habit, with one difference from most of the collection: this one goes to the market, the show and the co-op rather than staying behind glass.

A Bag for the Practical End of the Day

Farm days do not run on one bag, but they do run on knowing where things are. The flap pocket closes over what should not fall out. The open sleeve takes a pen or a notebook. The side sleeve is cut tall for a flask, and the strap over it keeps the flask upright when the bag swings.

Carry it by the handles into an office, clip the shoulder strap on for a market or a machinery sale, and let the black body take the wear that a light-coloured bag would show within a week.

What Is on the Bag

Keep the printed panel out of long spells of direct sun, wipe marks rather than soaking the bag, and let it dry fully after rain before storing it.

Questions Buyers Ask

Why do the dates run to 2027?

1837 is where the company’s story starts. 2027 is 190 years on, which is the anniversary this design marks.

Is the shoulder strap removable?

Yes. It clips at both ends and adjusts, so the bag works with handles alone.

What fits in the side pocket?

It is cut tall for a flask or water bottle, with a strap across the top to hold it in place.

Who is it for?

Farmers and contractors, agricultural mechanics, tractor collectors, and anyone whose family has run green machinery long enough to have opinions about it.
