Formula 1 2026 Race Cars Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar

Formula 1 rewrites its rulebook every few years, and 2026 is one of the big ones: power units splitting roughly half and half between combustion and electric, fully sustainable fuel, lighter and narrower cars, moveable aerodynamics front and rear. Grids like this one do not come around often, and a calendar of the cars is a snapshot of a season nobody could predict.

A Grid With No Precedent

When the regulations reset, the pecking order resets with them — a team that spent years mid-pack can find itself at the front, and the season becomes interesting in a way that stable rules never allow. That is what makes a set of this year’s liveries worth keeping rather than glancing at.

Twenty-Four Cars, Twenty-Four Doors

Behind the die-cut windows sit twenty-four acrylic ornaments, each 3.2 cm square, printed on both faces — matte on one side, gloss on the other. The hanging tab is punched straight through the acrylic, so there is nothing bonded on that can work loose. A protective film covers one face and lifts off in a second.

The box itself is paper, 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm and 135 g, holding a moulded plastic tray that keeps every piece in its own slot until its date.

Somewhere the Colours Show

Racing liveries are built to be read at speed, which means saturated colour and hard edges — exactly what survives being shrunk to 3.2 cm. Stand the box on a desk or a shelf under a lamp and the gloss faces do the rest. Indoors only; damp is the enemy of both the paper and the print.

Caring for the Set

Wipe with something dry and soft. Acrylic picks up fingerprints and releases them just as easily, but a damp cloth or a kitchen spray leaves a haze that never comes out. When the season of the calendar is over, the tray is the storage case.

Before You Buy

What is actually different about 2026?

The power units move to a near-even split between combustion and electric energy, the fuel becomes fully sustainable, and the cars get lighter with active aerodynamics. It is the deepest technical change the sport has made in over a decade.

Are there twenty-four different cars in the set?

The artwork varies piece by piece across the twenty-four rather than repeating one design, all held together by a common style.

Can I hang these anywhere other than a tree?

A few grams each and a ready-punched tab means they go on a desk lamp arm, a window catch, a lanyard, or a length of ribbon just as readily.

Does the box stand on its own?

Yes — at 3 cm deep it stays upright unsupported, which is how most people use it during December.
