Denver Broncos 66th Anniversary Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

The Broncos’ first season in 1960 is remembered mostly for the uniforms: mustard-yellow jerseys and vertically striped socks so unloved that the club held a public bonfire to burn them two years later. Sixty-six seasons on, orange and navy have settled into one of the most recognisable looks in the league — a reminder that most traditions start badly.

From a Bonfire to Orange and Navy

An anniversary count is a better thing to celebrate than a single season, because it takes in the bad years alongside the good ones. Sixty-six of them includes the striped socks, the thin decade after them, and everything that came once the club worked out who it was.

What Comes in the Box

Paper outer box, 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm, 135 g, over a moulded plastic tray holding twenty-four acrylic ornaments in individual slots. Every window is die-cut, so a door opens under a thumbnail without tearing the panel beside it.

Each ornament measures 3.2 cm square, carries a tab punched through the acrylic, and is printed on both faces — one matte, one glossy. A protective film covers one side on arrival and wants peeling before display.

Running the Countdown

Orange holds up well in daylight, so a shelf near a window suits this one — provided it is nowhere damp. Open a door a morning, hang what comes out, and by Christmas Eve the corner has decorated itself in the club’s colours without anyone planning it.

The other 2026 anniversary boxes are in our NFL line-up.

Looking After the Set

Dry cloth only — damp or abrasive cleaning hazes acrylic and there is no fixing it afterwards. The moulded tray is the right storage once the month is over: back in their slots, the tabs stay straight and the printed faces do not rub.

Questions Buyers Ask

Did the Broncos really burn their first uniforms?

They did — the mustard-and-stripes kit from the opening seasons was publicly burned in 1962, which is a better founding story than most clubs manage.

Are the twenty-four pieces all different?

They share a palette so the set hangs together, with the shapes varying across the twenty-four rather than repeating one design.

What if I miss a few days?

The numbering is a guide, not a lock. Open two or three at once to catch up; nothing in the box enforces the schedule.

Does it come flat-packed?

It arrives assembled with all doors closed, ready to stand on a shelf straight out of the packaging.
