Dallas Cowboys 66th Anniversary Rowdy the Cowboy Funko Pop

Sixty-Six Years of Cowboys Football

The Dallas Cowboys played their first season in 1960, and the 66 on Rowdy’s jersey counts the years since. The club grew into one of the most widely followed teams in American sport, won five Super Bowls between the 1971 and 1995 seasons, and has carried the “America’s Team” nickname since the late 1970s.

Rowdy, the cowboy mascot with the oversized hat and the permanent grin, has been part of game days since 1996, posing for photos with fans in the stands and on the field.

The franchise’s story runs through a handful of names fans repeat: Tom Landry, who coached the club’s first 29 seasons in his trademark fedora, and the stars of the 1990s title teams. Since 2009 the Cowboys have played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, and the star on Rowdy’s hat is the same one that sits on the helmet every Sunday. A small anniversary figure is an easy way to give a lifelong fan a piece of that history.

The Figure

Rowdy stands on a stone-textured base marked “66th Anniversary 1960–2026” with a small helmet emblem. He wears a grey cowboy hat with the star, a navy Cowboys Nation jersey with 66 on the sleeve and back, white pants and brown boots, with a football tucked under one arm and a hand on his hip.

Display Tips

Rowdy fits on a desk next to a team mug, on a shelf in a game room or among other Cowboys collectibles. Lift him by the base rather than the hat brim, keep him out of strong sunlight, and dust him with a soft dry brush.

Cowboys Fan Questions

Is it a bobblehead?

No. The head is part of the figure, so it is a static display piece.

Why 66?

The number counts the years from the club’s first season in 1960 to 2026.

How tall is it next to a coffee mug?

At about 10 cm (3.9 in), Rowdy stands roughly the height of a standard mug, which suits a desk or a crowded shelf.

Does it suit a younger fan’s room?

Yes, as a shelf display. It is resin with small details, so keep it out of reach of toddlers.
