Chuck Amato NCS Wolfpack 2002 Gator Bowl Champions Funko Pop

The Chuck Amato NCS Wolfpack 2002 Gator Bowl Champions Funko Pop is a 10 cm 3D collectible accessory based on NC State head coach Chuck Amato and the Wolfpack’s memorable 2002 football season. It is designed for fans who want a compact display piece connecting a recognisable coach figure with an established NC State bowl victory.

The figure is made from 3D-printed resin and hand-finished as a stylised collectible with an oversized head, flat display base and commemorative trophy detail. Its purpose is decorative rather than functional, making it suited to a fan shelf, office display, sports memorabilia cabinet or college football collection.

The 2002 NC State Wolfpack Season and Gator Bowl Victory

NC State’s 2002 football season finished with an 11–3 record, the best win total in school history at that point. Chuck Amato led the Wolfpack into the Toyota Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida, where NC State defeated Notre Dame 28–6 on January 1, 2003, completing the season with a significant postseason win.

The game was played at Alltel Stadium and brought together a highly regarded Notre Dame team and an NC State side led by players including quarterback Philip Rivers. NC State’s official game recap records a 28–6 victory, while the university’s historical material identifies the result as the conclusion of the school’s winningest season at that time.

This collectible represents that connection between coach, team and event rather than a generic Wolfpack mascot theme. The trophy element on the base gives the piece a clear championship-style presentation, while the red clothing and NC State styling place the subject within the 2002 Wolfpack era. The design is therefore most relevant to buyers who value the coaching history and bowl achievement behind the figure.

Chuck Amato NCS Wolfpack 2002 Gator Bowl Champions Funko Pop: What You Receive

This product is a hand-finished 3D collectible figure made from 3D-printed resin using SLA/LCD printing. It has a stylised oversized head, a compact standing form and a flat display base intended to keep the figure positioned for shelf or desktop presentation.

The visible design shows Chuck Amato wearing a red North Carolina State Wolfpack jacket with a white S on the front. Tan trousers, red sunglasses, grey hair and white-and-red sneakers complete the character styling, while a small keyboard-like accessory is held in front of the figure.

The base is black with a green field design across its upper surface. Gold nameplate lettering identifies the subject, and a miniature Gator Bowl Champions trophy is positioned on the base with black, gold and bronze details. The base and trophy create the strongest visual contrast against the red jacket.

Material and Construction Details

How the Resin Figure Behaves in Everyday Display

The 3D-printed resin construction gives this item the character of a small decorative model rather than a flexible toy or wearable accessory. Its hand-finished surface and painted details are best appreciated when the figure is placed where the face, jacket, accessory and trophy base can be viewed from the front.

At approximately 10 cm tall, the figure is compact enough for a bookshelf, display case, desktop or memorabilia grouping without requiring a large presentation area. The flat base provides the intended display structure, but the piece should still be handled carefully when being moved because the oversized head, small accessory and trophy detail are visually prominent parts of the model.

The design is made for indoor decorative use. Direct sunlight should be avoided because the supplied care guidance specifically links shade with helping the paintwork stay true. Dust can be removed with a soft, dry cloth, which keeps cleaning simple while reducing the risk of moisture or abrasive contact around the painted areas.

How to Use and Care for This Product

Use the figure as a stationary collectible and keep its display position stable. The following steps help protect the resin body, hand-finished surfaces and small decorative details.

• Before first display: Place the figure on a level indoor surface so the flat base sits evenly and the accessory and trophy remain visible.
• During regular display: Handle the base or wider body when moving it rather than pulling on the oversized head, keyboard-like accessory or trophy detail.
• Cleaning: Dust with a soft, dry cloth as instructed. Use gentle passes over the base, jacket, sunglasses and painted details rather than scrubbing the surface.
• Sunlight protection: Keep out of direct sunlight so the paintwork stays true, particularly when the figure is displayed near a bright window.
• Storage: Store the figure in a dry indoor location with enough space around the base to prevent nearby objects from pressing against the model.
• Display arrangement: Position the figure where the black base, gold nameplate and miniature trophy can be seen, since those elements carry much of the commemorative presentation.

Who Should Consider This NC State Collectible?

This piece is a practical fit for NC State supporters who collect coaching memorabilia, Wolfpack football items or small sports display figures. It also suits buyers building a college football shelf around the 2002 season, the Gator Bowl victory or Chuck Amato’s time as head coach.

The compact 10 cm size makes it appropriate for a desk, bookcase, display cabinet or office shelf where a larger statue would be impractical. The red Wolfpack jacket, black commemorative base and miniature trophy give it enough visual definition to stand alone while also working in a wider fan collection.

The main limitation is that this is a decorative resin collectible, not a play item or a general-purpose accessory. Buyers seeking a minimalist ornament may find the oversized head, bright team colours, nameplate and trophy detail more specialised than a neutral sports decoration.
