Carolina Panthers Harry Potter Night 2026 Sweatshirt

The Carolina Panthers Harry Potter Night 2026 Sweatshirt is a bright Panthers-blue crew neck. Across the chest, “Panthers” is written in the jagged lightning-bolt lettering every Potter reader knows, with a broomstick swept underneath and the black panther head below. Crossed wands sit on one sleeve, an NFL shield on the other, and a small HP mark near the hem. The back belongs to Hogwarts: “Harry Potter” in the same lettering above a large white school crest with its lion, snake, badger and eagle.

Keep Pounding Meets Hogwarts

Panthers fans live by two words. “Keep Pounding” comes from linebacker and coach Sam Mills, who used the phrase in a locker-room speech before a January 2004 playoff game while fighting cancer. Today a guest drummer strikes the Keep Pounding drum before every home game in Charlotte.

The crest on the back carries a motto of its own: Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus, Latin for “never tickle a sleeping dragon.” Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was published in 1997, and readers who grew up with Harry are now the adults filling stadium seats. Putting the two mottos on one sweatshirt is a fun nod to both sides of a fan who knows the depth chart and the Marauder’s Map equally well.

Panthers and Potter Questions

What does the Latin on the back mean?

“Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus” is the Hogwarts motto from the books, usually translated as “never tickle a sleeping dragon.”

Where does “Keep Pounding” come from?

It comes from Sam Mills, the Panthers linebacker and later coach, whose 2004 speech to the team became the franchise’s rallying cry.

Is the design printed on both sides?

Yes. The Panthers lettering and logo lead the front, and the Hogwarts crest fills most of the back.
