Carolina Panthers 31st Anniversary 2026 Advent Calendar

Carolina is not a state. That was the point — when the franchise arrived for the 1995 season it was sold to both Carolinas at once, with training camp in one and the stadium in the other. Thirty-one seasons later the club still belongs to a region rather than a city, which is unusual enough to be worth marking.

Thirty-One Seasons

The Panthers and the Jaguars came into the league together in 1995, the first expansion in nearly two decades. Thirty-one seasons is short enough that a lot of the people buying this remember the first one — which makes a season count a more meaningful thing to print than a trophy would be.

Twenty-Four Compartments

A paper box, 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm and 135 g, with twenty-four acrylic ornaments held in a moulded plastic tray. Windows are die-cut so each door comes up under a thumbnail.

Every ornament is 3.2 cm square, printed on both faces — one matte, one gloss — with the hanging tab punched through the acrylic itself. Peel the protective film off one side before hanging; on a dark blue palette the difference is easy to see.

Through the Countdown

Put it where somebody walks past it in the morning rather than somewhere formal. As the pieces come out they need a home — a branch, a ribbon down a door frame, or the tree once it is up. Indoors throughout; humidity clouds acrylic and warps paper.

Other clubs in the series sit in our NFL line-up.

A Dry Cloth and Nothing Else

Dry cloth, nothing wet. Acrylic hazes permanently under damp cleaning and the print suffers first. At the end of December the tray keeps the tabs straight and the faces apart until next year.

Common Questions

Why thirty-one and not thirty-two?

The franchise was awarded in 1993 and played its first season in 1995. The count runs on seasons played.

Do the ornaments come with hooks?

The tab is punched and ready, but the hooks themselves are not supplied. A standard ornament hook or a loop of thread both work.

How many will fit on one branch?

Five or six comfortably. They weigh a few grams each, so a branch that would sag under glass baubles holds these easily.

Is this suitable as a gift for a child?

The format suits children well — one door a day is a routine they take to. The pieces are small, so hang them out of reach of toddlers.
