Atlanta Falcons Snoopy Christmas Globe Ornament

Snoopy Joins the Falcons for Christmas

For many families, December means two things on television: A Charlie Brown Christmas, which first aired in 1965, and late-season football. The Falcons were founded the same year and played their first season in 1966, so the team and the Peanuts holiday special have grown up side by side. This ornament puts them in one small scene.

Why Falcons Fans Say Rise Up

“Rise Up” became the Falcons’ rallying cry during the 2016 season, when Matt Ryan was named NFL MVP and Atlanta reached Super Bowl LI. The phrase has stayed on banners, towels and chants at Mercedes-Benz Stadium ever since, so it reads instantly to anyone who follows the team. Here it is swapped for a holiday line, but the red wings on Snoopy’s hoodie carry the same spirit.

The scene shows Snoopy sitting on a yellow goalpost in a Falcons hoodie with red wings, next to a black Falcons helmet, small evergreens and a snowy floor. Red Atlanta Falcons lettering curves across the top, and “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” runs beside him in white script.

How It Is Made

The two halves open to reach the printed scene and close again before hanging.

Looking After It

Hang it from a sturdy branch with the front facing the room so the lettering reads clearly. Dust it with a dry cloth, keep it away from sunny windows and radiators, and pack it back in its box when the decorations come down.
