Scuderia Ferrari Singapore Hat Charles Leclerc Cap

The Weekend Ferrari Went Black

Rosso corsa is not a colour Ferrari gives up easily. For the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix the team did exactly that, working with Puma on an all-black package for Charles Leclerc: race suit, gloves, shoes and this cap. The limited-edition version went on sale to fans on 5 October.

The cap keeps the restraint of that package. A silver Prancing Horse shield sits centred on a black crown, the number 16 is picked out in silver on the left side of the brim, and a thin rope detail runs across the base of the crown in white.

Why Singapore Is the Right Race for It

Singapore runs at night, under floodlights, on a street circuit with walls close on both sides. It is the race where the cars look least like they do anywhere else, and where a team dropping its signature colour reads as a deliberate statement rather than a styling exercise.

Black under those lights behaves differently from red. The silver catches the floodlights while the fabric stays dark, which is the effect the whole package was built around. It is a one-weekend look for a track that already looks unlike the rest of the calendar.

For a supporter, that is what makes the cap worth owning rather than just wearing. It belongs to a specific race and a specific decision, not to a season-long range.

The Number on the Brim

Drivers pick a number and keep it for their career. Leclerc has worn 16 since he arrived in Formula 1, and it has been on the car through every season at Ferrari since 2019.

Putting it on the brim rather than the crown is a small choice that changes how the cap reads. The shield identifies the team from the front; the 16 identifies the driver to anybody standing beside you. It is a fan’s detail rather than a sponsor’s.

The HP roundel on the right side places the cap in the current era of the team. Puma’s logo sits opposite it on the brim, which is the pairing that produced the Singapore package in the first place.

Cap Details

Keep it dry and spot-clean the crown with a soft damp cloth rather than putting it through a wash. Let it air-dry with the crown supported so it holds its shape.

Wearing It Away From the Circuit

Motorsport caps usually announce themselves in red or orange. This one does not, which is why it works outside a race weekend. Black with silver detailing sits with ordinary clothes the way a plain cap does, and only another fan will read the shield and the 16 at a glance.

That makes it a reasonable everyday piece rather than something reserved for Sundays in front of a screen. Pair it with dark denim or a grey layer and let the silver do the work.

As a gift it is most precise for the Leclerc supporter specifically, rather than a general Ferrari fan. The number is the whole point, and the person receiving it will either recognise it immediately or not at all.

Questions About the Singapore Cap

What makes this a Singapore design?

What does the 16 refer to?

Charles Leclerc’s career race number, which he has carried throughout his time in Formula 1.

Is the shield printed or raised?

The shield is presented as a raised silver badge on the front panel rather than a flat print.

How should I clean it?
