San Antonio Spurs Classic Edition Uniform Basketball Jersey

San Antonio Spurs Classic Edition Uniform Basketball Jersey is light silver-gray with black-and-white piping around the neck and arms. The front carries the arched SPURS wordmark with the spur-shaped U above a bold number, and the back is laid out for a name and number in black block letters, shown in our photos as ANY NAME and 00.

Fifty Years Since the ABA Merger

The Spurs were one of four ABA teams, along with the Nets, Nuggets and Pacers, that joined the NBA in 1976. To mark the 50th anniversary, the club unveiled its Classic Edition uniform on October 12, 2026: a reproduction of the original silver home uniform worn at the downtown HemisFair Arena, with the arched wordmark restored to its first form and an ABA anthem tag above the jock tag.

The Spurs wear it for the first time on November 4, 2026, when they host the Dallas Mavericks at Frost Bank Center, the night a matching Classic Edition court also debuts. It is part of a run of Classic Nights through the 2026-27 season.

The franchise began life as the Dallas Chaparrals and moved to San Antonio in 1973, playing at HemisFair Arena in the heart of downtown. The silver uniforms of that era belong to George Gervin, the Iceman, who carried the Spurs from the ABA into the NBA and won four NBA scoring titles in his silky, finger-roll style.
