Minecraft Halloween 2026 Advent Calendar

The Whole Mob List, Dressed for the Night

The joke runs through the entire set. Steve wears a witch hat and carries a pumpkin bucket. Alex has one too. An enderman is holding a bucket. A villager has a potion. A zombie, a skeleton with a bow, a creeper, a bat perched on a block, a spider, a husk wrapped like a mummy, a blaze, a snow golem in a witch hat.

The animals get the same treatment: a sheep, a chicken, a pig in a witch hat, a cow, an orange cat, a grey wolf, a black cat. Each one is a flat acrylic ornament with a metal hanging loop, so the whole set can go on a tree or a branch.

Why the Blocks Survive Being Shrunk

Most game art loses something at ornament scale. Minecraft does not, because the character design is already reduced to its simplest possible form. A creeper is a green column with four black marks. Shrink it to three centimetres and it is still unmistakably a creeper.

That is a property very few franchises have. The blocky style was a technical constraint that turned into the most recognisable visual language in games, legible at any size and to anyone who has spent ten minutes in the world.

It means a parent who has never played can still identify what their child is hanging on the tree, which is more than can be said for most character countdowns.

Halloween Inside a Christmas Format

An advent calendar is a Christmas structure. Filling it with pumpkins, bats and witch hats is a deliberate mismatch, and it suits a game whose players have always rebuilt the rules to suit themselves.

It also solves a practical problem. Halloween decorations usually come out for a week and go away; these have a reason to stay up through December because of the format they arrive in. The orange and purple read as autumn, the hanging loops read as Christmas, and the set works either way.

For a household that marks both, that is a longer run of use than either theme would get alone.

Peel the protective film from each ornament before hanging it so the printed faces show properly.

A Set That Ends Up on Two Trees

Children who play Minecraft tend to know exactly which mob is which and will have opinions about where each one goes. That turns the hanging into part of the activity rather than an afterthought, which is the main reason a charm calendar beats a chocolate one in a household with players in it.

It also divides well. Two children can take alternate days, or the set can be split between a main tree and a bedroom branch once the month is over.

Everything is pictured together so you can see which mobs are included. Which one is behind which window is decided by the numbers, not the photo.

Questions About the Minecraft Calendar

What are the ornaments made from?

Printed acrylic with a metal hanging loop at the top.

Are these the same as in-game items?

They are flat ornaments based on the game’s characters, not three-dimensional figures or playable items.

Which mob is behind which window?

The numbering decides that. Treat the photo as an inventory of the set.

Can they be used at Halloween instead?

Yes. The artwork is Halloween-themed throughout, so the set works for either season once the windows are open.

More seasonal countdowns are in the full collection.
