Milwaukee Brewers 2026 World Series Champions Commemorative Coin

Look closely at the top of this coin and you will see two small words: “Est. 1970.” The Milwaukee Brewers 2026 World Series Champions Commemorative Coin is built around that date, the year baseball returned to Milwaukee, and the date that finally made it count: October 28, 2026, when the Brewers won their first World Series.

From 1970 to 2026

The Brewers came to life in a hurry. In the spring of 1970, a group led by Bud Selig bought the bankrupt Seattle Pilots after just one season in Seattle and moved them to Milwaukee, which had been without a big-league team since the Braves left for Atlanta after 1965. The new club took its name from the city’s brewing history, which is why hop vines curl around the edge of this coin.

Selig ran the club for more than two decades before becoming Commissioner of Baseball, a job he held from 1992 to 2015, and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017. The Brewers moved from the American League to the National League in 1998, the year after interleague play began.

Fifty-six seasons later, the Brewers won 103 games, took a fourth straight National League Central title, swept the Dodgers for the pennant and beat the Tampa Bay Rays in five games. A coin that carries both “Est. 1970” and “2026 Champions” tells that whole story in one hand.

A Coin for the Long Wait

Commemorative coins are made for dates, and this one carries two. It makes a natural keepsake for a fan who has followed the team since the early years at County Stadium, a groomsman or office gift for a Brewers fan, or a stocking stuffer to sit beside a bigger championship present. Keep it in a capsule or pouch and wipe it with a soft dry cloth; avoid polishing compounds, which can dull the printed surface.
