Coca-Cola Adidas Samba Shoes

Coca-Cola Adidas Samba Shoes take the slim, low-cut Samba silhouette and dress it in the most familiar red of the drinks aisle. White panels carry red overlays at the toe, eyestay and heel, three red stripes run along each side, and the Coca-Cola script sweeps across the quarter beside gold SAMBA lettering. A gum sole finishes the pair the classic way.

Two Red-and-White Classics on One Shoe

The Coca-Cola script has barely changed since 1886, when bookkeeper Frank M. Robinson wrote the name in the flowing Spencerian hand of the day for pharmacist John Pemberton’s new Atlanta drink. Very few logos have stayed so constant, which is why the script reads instantly on a shoe without any explanation.

The Samba has a long story of its own. It started life as a football trainer for hard, icy pitches, moved onto the terraces and then into everyday streetwear, where the slim profile and gum sole became shorthand for easy, unfussy style. Put the two together and you get a pair that feels like a diner booth and a football classic at the same time.

Coca-Cola red also has a seasonal side. From 1931, illustrator Haddon Sundblom painted the warm, red-suited Santa for the company’s holiday ads, and that image helped fix red and white as Christmas colours for millions of families. A pair like this fits under the tree as naturally as it fits a summer barbecue.

How to Wear Them

Red and white do the talking, so keep the rest simple: light-wash denim with a turned-up hem, white socks, a plain tee or a cream knit. They suit a weekend coffee run, a retro diner night or a holiday party where a flash of red feels right. To keep the white panels bright, brush off dry dirt first, spot-clean with mild soap and a damp cloth, and let the pair air-dry away from heaters. Frequently Asked Questions

Which size should I order?

Order the size you wear in other low-top lace-up sneakers. The Samba shape is slim through the toe, so if you sit between sizes or like thicker socks, the larger size gives more room.

Would these make a good gift?

Yes, especially for someone who collects Coca-Cola pieces or already loves the Samba. Confirm their usual sneaker size first, since shoes are the one gift that has to fit.

Are they made for sport?

They are lifestyle sneakers for walking, errands and days out. For running or court sports, choose footwear built for that job.
